One website i used to research my product was http://www.collegefashion.net/beauty-and-hair/3-scary-ingredients-hiding-in-your-nail-polish/. The article talks about the three most commonly used ingredients used in nail polish with surprising secrets. It listed three different chemicals and their uses and the side effects and warning to them.
The other website that was very helpful was "Material Safety Data Sheet." N.p., n.d. Web. It listed the ingredients used in essie nail polish, and the safety warnings to them. This website also had precautionary steps consumers could take to prevent chemical reactions, or accidental over exposure.

Surprising Ingredients In your essie nail polish
Have you ever wondered whats inside that mysterious bottle of shiny lacquer Essie Nail Polish? We did some investigation on what is inside this daily used product and what we found was shocking!
-Formaldehyde: Formaldehyde is typically used as a preservative, a sterilizer, and to embalm bodies. Formaldehyde has been linked to lung and nasal cancer and is considered a carcinogen (a substance linked to causing cancer).
-Nitrocellulose: Nitrocellulose is the main ingredient of modern gun powder and is highly flammable.
-Heptane: Heptane is a very dangerous substance used in many different things, one being nail polish. Heptane causes narcosis and symptoms of nervous system. The longer one is exposed to this chemical, vertigo, inappropriate hilarity, inability to walk in a straight line, nausea, loss of appetite and gasoline taste in mouth.
-Camphor: Camphor is mainly used topically to reduce pain and itching. It is commonly used in vapor rub. Although it can help with symptoms of a cold and other things if ingested it can lead to serious side effects and even death.
-Isopropyl Alcohol: Isopropyl Alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol) is a colorless, flammable chemical compound with a strong odor. Isopropyl Alcohol reacts with active metals such as potassium. -Methyl Ethyl Ketone: Methyl Ethyl Ketone is used as a solvent commonly used in gum. If it is inhaled it can result in irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat. There has been very little testing on humans but on animals scientists found neurological, kidney and liver complications to arise.
